Buying Guide: Choosing the Right Dolphin Cleaner for Your Inground Pool
Selecting the ideal robotic pool cleaner involves more than just picking the most expensive model. You need to match the cleaner to your pool size, shape, and cleaning demands. Here are the key factors to consider when evaluating the best Dolphin Explorer cleaner for inground pools.
Pool Size and Compatibility
Dolphin cleaners are designed for specific pool lengths, from compact units for pools up to 26 feet to powerful models that handle lengths up to 50 feet. Measure your pool accurately before buying. A cleaner that is too small may miss corners, while an oversized one can be overkill. The Dolphin Explorer E40 is a great match for medium to large inground pools, offering Wi-Fi connectivity and waterline scrubbing.
Cleaning Capabilities: Walls, Waterline, and Debris
Look for models with wall climbing and active scrubbing brushes. These features ensure your pool walls and waterline stay spotless, reducing manual brushing. A top-load filter basket simplifies debris removal, keeping your pool clear with minimal effort. For larger debris like leaves, a larger filter capacity is a plus.
Smart Features and Connectivity
Wi-Fi enabled models let you schedule cleanings from your smartphone, even when you are away. This convenience is ideal for busy pool owners. Dual drive motors and smart navigation help the robot avoid obstacles and clean efficiently, saving time and energy. If you value automation, prioritize a model with Wi-Fi and advanced scanning.
For those with smaller pools, the best above ground pool cleaners for small pools offer similar features in a compact design. However, for inground pools, Dolphin’s lineup provides robust options tailored to larger spaces.
Final Thoughts
After reviewing the top models, the Dolphin Automatic Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner stands out for its reliable wall scrubbing and easy filter care, making it a solid choice for pools up to 40 feet. For those who want advanced connectivity and waterline cleaning, the Dolphin Explorer E40 Automatic Robotic Pool Vacuum offers Wi-Fi scheduling and precise movement, perfect for larger inground pools up to 50 feet.
