The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi is an automatic robotic pool vacuum cleaner tailored for in-ground pools up to 50 feet. It comes bundled with a universal caddy and classic cover, making it a complete solution for pool owners who value convenience and smart technology.
Standout features include always-connected Wi-Fi for scheduling cleanings from your phone, and powerful wall-scrubbing that tackles dirt on any surface. The top-load filter basket is easy to access and clean, ensuring your pool stays crystal clear without hassle. In real-world use, the robot navigates efficiently and leaves pools spotless after each cycle.
Design and build quality reflect Dolphin's 40-year legacy: the unit feels sturdy, yet the caddy and cover add some bulk for storage. The black color is sleek, and the overall construction inspires confidence for long-term use. Setup is straightforward, though the Wi-Fi app may require a few tries for first-time users.
Drawbacks are minor: the included caddy and cover take up extra space when not in use, and the price point is premium. Additionally, there are no verified customer reviews yet, so long-term reliability is based solely on brand reputation.
Verdict: The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi is an excellent investment for pool owners who want a smart, self-cleaning robot. The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi is a robotic pool vacuum designed for above-ground and in-ground pools up to 50 feet. It targets pool owners who want a smart, hands-off cleaning solution with the added convenience of remote control and easy storage. This model bundles the robot with a Universal Caddy, making it a complete package for hassle-free pool maintenance.
Standout features include Wi-Fi connectivity that lets you schedule cleanings from your smartphone, wall-scrubbing power for thorough coverage, and a top-load filter basket that simplifies debris removal. In real-world use, the robot's navigation is efficient and it climbs walls effectively, though performance may vary with different pool shapes. The caddy's cable holder keeps the cord tangle-free, which is a thoughtful touch.
Design and build quality reflect Dolphin's 40-year legacy: the unit is sturdy, with a white finish that blends into most pool environments. The top-load filter is a major ergonomic win, as you don't need to flip the robot to clean the basket. However, the Wi-Fi setup process might be slightly complex for those unfamiliar with smart home devices, though once connected, it works reliably.
A potential drawback is the lack of user reviews, so early adopters are taking a slight risk. Additionally, the caddy adds bulk, which could be an issue for storage in smaller sheds or garages. The robot itself is not the quietest model on the market, but it's acceptable for typical pool cleaning cycles.
Overall, the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi is a strong contender for anyone seeking a feature-rich robotic pool cleaner with smart controls and convenient storage. Its combination of automation, durability, and ease of use makes it a worthwhile investment for maintaining a sparkling clean pool with minimal effort. If you're willing to trade a bit of setup complexity for long-term convenience, this model delivers.
Buying Guide: What to Look for in a Robotic Pool Cleaner Storage Cart
Build Quality and Durability
The frame of your cart must withstand constant exposure to sun, chlorine, and moisture. Look for heavy-duty materials like reinforced plastic or powder-coated steel. Dolphin genuine accessories, for instance, use robust construction that holds up season after season. A sturdy cart prevents your robot from tipping during transport.
Mobility and Wheels
You will roll your cart across pool decks, grass, and possibly gravel. Oversized all-terrain wheels make the difference between effortless movement and frustrating bumps. The Beatbot Caddy includes large wheels that handle uneven surfaces well, while Dolphin models feature smooth-rolling casters. If you have steps or curbs, prioritize a cart with good ground clearance. Read our best pool robot cart guide for more on mobility.
Cable Management
A tangled cable is a safety hazard and a nuisance. The best carts include dedicated holders for the power supply unit and cord. Dolphin Universal Caddies feature a tangle-free cable holder that keeps everything neatly coiled. This simple feature prolongs the life of your robot and saves you time every use.
Compatibility and Fit
Not every cart fits every robot. Dolphin caddies are designed for Dolphin residential robots but many also work with other brands. The Beatbot Caddy claims compatibility with most robotic cleaners, though it excludes the iSkim models. Always verify dimensions and weight capacity before buying.
